What is Solana
SOL is the currency of the Solana network, running since March 2020, which runs smart contracts and orders transactions with a sequence of cryptographic proofs called proof of history. It is secured by proof of stake and its supply has no fixed cap: new units are issued every year, at an inflation rate that keeps falling until it settles at 1.5% a year.
