Answers to the most common questions, by topic.

Your account

Create an account with your email, verify your identity and add euros by bank transfer or crypto from another wallet.

With your email and a password. A six-digit code is sent to your email to confirm it is yours.

One between 8 and 128 characters, with no mandatory composition rules. The most common passwords and those found in known data breaches are not accepted.

On “Sign in”, choose to reset your password: a code is sent to your email so you can choose a new one. Changing it signs out all open sessions.

After several attempts with the wrong password, the account is locked for a while to protect it. Wait and try again, or reset your password.

Identity verification

European anti-money laundering rules require it from crypto-asset service providers. Without a verified identity you cannot add euros, buy, sell or convert, or trade peer to peer (P2P).

From your account, with your identity document. The result shows up in your account when it is done.

Deposits and withdrawals

In your account, under “Deposit”: choose the coin and the network, and send to the address it gives you. Always send on the network you chose: on another one, the funds can be lost.

Under “Send” you choose the coin, paste the destination address and enter the network and the amount. A code for that withdrawal only is sent to your email, and you also need the one from your authenticator app: withdrawing requires two-step verification.

Each withdrawal has a fixed fee that differs by coin; you can see them under Fees. The platform pays the network fee: the recipient gets exactly the amount you entered.

The team reviews some withdrawals before sending them, because of the amount or other signals. The amount stays set aside in your account in the meantime and, if it is not sent, it goes back to your balance.

Buying and selling

In Markets you can see each crypto’s price in euros and its change over the last 24 hours.

In “Buy and sell” you choose the coin and the amount. Before you confirm, you see the approximate price, the fee and what you receive. When you confirm, we check the price again: if it has moved against you by more than the tolerance published under Fees, the order is not sent and you pay nothing.

Peer to peer (P2P)

You choose an ad, pay the seller with the method in the ad within the time limit and mark it as paid. The seller releases the crypto once they see the money. Until then, the platform keeps it set aside.

Open a dispute from the trade. The Pitiklini team reviews it and decides who gets the crypto that was set aside. Never release the crypto before you see the money in your account.

Fees

Under Fees: buying, selling and converting, adding and withdrawing euros, peer to peer (P2P) and each coin’s withdrawal fee, with the date they apply from.

Security

You can turn on two-step verification (2FA) with an authenticator app: it will ask for a code every time you sign in. If you change or reset your password, all open sessions are signed out.

In your account, under Security, with an authenticator app. Turning it on and off asks for your password and a code from the app, and doing so signs out your other sessions.

A code you choose in your account that appears in the emails Pitiklini sends you. If you get an email claiming to be from Pitiklini without it, be wary: do not click its links or give your details.

Yes. If you change your password, turn two-step verification on or off, or sign in from a new device, you get a notice in your account and by email.
